(1) 1/4"MNPT to 22mm brass pressure washer adapter
These are custom made snowmaking nozzles, not a pressure washing nozzles. While these nozzles appear to have much in common, snowmaking nozzles are much more advanced, and will make high quality snow, unlike a pressure washing nozzle.
These nozzles are designed for use with the snowgun outlined in plan #2 in the eGuide, or for an Interal Mix combo-type snowgun. In addition the Plan #1 4010 nozzle is also included so you can work your way through the eGuide. By using these nozzles you will virtually eliminate spitting, resulting in more snow! Use the brass adapter to connect to any standard 22mm pressure washer hose.
We have tested dozens of nozzles and eventually arrived on having these nozzles made for us to our specifications in order to make the highest quality snow using what is available to the average household.
Resorts have multi-million dollar snowmaking systems, with water cooling towers, air dryers, air chillers, oil separators, particle filters, and are able to consume megawatts of energy. The average home snowmaker needs nozzles designed to work with their water flow, their water temperature, their air temperature and their budget.
The average water temperature at a resort is just 1C (34F), by comparison, the average water temperature for a home snowmaker is 11C (54F), and snowmaking is all above moving heat from the water, to the air, so that the water can freeze and become snow.
In a household environment it's not practical to have an air compressor that will produce hundreds of cubic feet per minute of compressed air, they're noisy, expensive, and take tons of energy to power them. A home snowmaker needs nozzles which work with their air supply.
